JiP Posted November 22, 2008 Author Report Posted November 22, 2008 OMG Its 10:45pm and everyone's asleep. So what does Jon do?? He steps on his car keys setting off the panic alarm! :)
towe001 Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 The girlfriend came across a spider today, a little bigger then a 50cent piece. She was telling a friend of hers from Sydney way about it who reckoned it could be a funnel web spider by of the girlfriend's description....  My answer was "No way, too far north for a funnel web, more like sydney way." I had a look at it and it was nothing more then a huntsman. I've seen enough of them to know what a huntsman looks like  Anyway, just had a wikipedia search for a funnel web spider and, well, america has an interesting breed in that they live in a community type of way in that they look out for, take care of and provide for each other.... And yes, toowoomba does have a breed of funnel web spider - "toowoomba funnel web" (Hadronyche infensa) that seams like its a little more deadly then the sydney funnel web spider. As well as its own "toowoomba trapdoor spider" (Aganippe berlandi).  Me thinks i'll be wearing shoes when ever i go outside at night now......   And to think, i was just starting to get use to having to live with damn redback spiders
trav_555 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 f@$kin dangerous spiders and snakes man, always finding redbacks and redbellys at my house. i should move to new zealand

Lexxi[ke35] Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Ok, just finished my third exam, two more to go :P Â Damn boyfriend finished his exams two weeks ago so of course he's out galavanting around with his mates doing whatever he feels like while I'm sitting here at school being bored as hell and attempting to study [failing simply because my brain is aready out galavanting around with the boyfriend] Grrr. Â Wouldn't mind one bit if a road train hit me and ran over me with every single tyre right now.
