Before i hurt my self the car was pretty much ready to be painted so it just sat there for 4 months with out me being able to work on her. all dusty. With my fuel cap So it got painted at the start of februry in um a can't think of the name. i have it some were. Half way It still will need to have a cut and a polish But now iv been slowy putting her back together. I have the front seats in no. They are a bucket seat of some kind, ill get some photos for you. I use the orginal seat rails for them too. Other plans are to lower her, 13 inch jelly beans. tint the windows, zorst and enjoy. But i have some more plans for her. So what does evey one think good or bad please let us know Cheers Jamie Quote

Taz_Rx Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I like you little alloy bits, noticed you've been selling some on ebay. Just on the fuel cap though :hmm: ...... Do a google search about mini's, specifically their fuel cap and how they where a major issue when crashed. Yours won't be anywhere near as bad but just some food for though. :rolla: Quote
canna Posted May 29, 2009 Author Report Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Thanks, thats my old man selling them on ebay makes some good coin as well. Had a search on the mini fuel issue and couldnt fine any thing. Only thing i can think of is it coming of and pouring fuel every where in a crash :rolla:. Thanks overrated ke70, it has been alot of work though. This is my first ever car iv work on and the old boy thought it would give me a good idea on panel work and other stuff, which it has. all so picking up a ke10 tomorrow. ill take some more photos this week end and post the them up Cheers Jamie Edited May 29, 2009 by canna Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Ok I'll cut a long story short for you...... yeah you've sorta worked it out anyway. Because the fuel filler sits out an inch or so on the corner, if you rolled a mini it would easily shear the fuel filler and/or cap of it making fuel go everywhere. It's not a major issue for yours but maybe if your dad makes some more he could try and get them flush mounted with the body. They'd look a bit better like that too. :rolla: Quote
canna Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 Roll a mini :rolla:. But thanks for the advice. Yeah we are working on one that fits flush with body and locks. Will keep you up dated on that though. Cheer Jamie Quote

canna Posted May 17, 2010 Author Report Posted May 17, 2010 great work man i can't believe i've never seen this thread!! Cheers dude. Month after i had it finished while parked in a car park some one hit me. Came out of the shops and the guard and door was all smashed up. No note was left and wouldn’t have a clue who did it. Still haven’t fixed it my car, kind of lost interest in it and cars after that, But now have got the bug back hard and now want to finish off my supercharged motor Will be 5k standard (until it blows) with a sc14 supercharger running a 32/36 Webber but this might be a bit small. Will jet to suit. Sorry about the shitty photos So started to make the intake for the carby Just 5mm plate and 2inch pipe The mill came in handy for this Quote
