Urgent Help My Tail Lights Wont Turn On When Headlights Are On!�

i was wiring up my new number plate lamp worked fine and then i went to test it for a final go and my headlights turned on but my parkers, lights around guages,redlight that turns on with head lights at tail all didnt work and neither did number plate light!!!

 

please help i need them on urgently.

i havee checked fuses they look alright, i can't find any that say tail or have any relevance to what has turned off. which ones should i check and where?

Does your brake light still work??

yes it does so do blinkers and hazards.

Might not be it, but also might. It could be your dimmer switch. Do any of the other dash lights work?? The one above the radio? The one on your fan switch?

What exactly were you wiring?? Did you cut anything/connect anything??

cheers for your help mate but i needed it fixed urently so i just took it to my sparky, we found a third fuse box in it on drivers side next to pedals, and replaced the blown tail 15 a fuse it was because the wiring on the new number plate light was backwards thanks for all your help

um i have this same problem, i havnt messed with any wiring tho.

 

i have brake lights, indicators, headlights but nothing else, and ive checked all fuses and globes.

i don't really care as i only use the car to get to work but it would be good to sort out.

 

also my indicators flash faster when i put my foot on the accelerator :P

check your fuses where at drivers side feet where stock 4" speekers go there is a panel, take panel off and you will see a lil white rectangle about 10cmx4cm unclip it and there are more fuses check em and replace any that are blown :P

 

yeah theres 3 fuses boxes the one i just said the one in the panel next to steering wheel and the one next to battery lol, there could be more lol.
