JiP Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 They both seem pretty pricey. For that price they both would have to be in pretty good nic. Quote

greenmac80 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 go with the 55. has a more oldskool look than the 70. in my opinion a 70 needs a lot of work to look nice. but on the other hand the 70 has a better rear suspension setup. depends what you want oldskool? or in between. the 55 was the last rounded sorta car and the 70's are all really boxy. Astro Boy Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Posted July 6, 2008 Snatched the 55! has a few rusty bits no problem! Flyin over to melbourne next week and driving it back to adelaide. Hope to be restoring with you guys soon! :( ;) ;) :jamie: Quote
Gspec Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Ke55 - offer - $1000ke70 - offer - $1700 - $2000.... I need to act fast before they are snatched up! Who in their right mind "snatches up" a KE70 for that price with "minimal rust"!!!!!!!!!!! For that price you'd want NO RUST, no half assed mods, no half assed repairs, plenty of reg, a roady and a blow job. Be mindfull that both reg and roadies are not transferable interstate. AND That "minimal rust" in Corolla langauge means its FULL of rust. I got my KE70 home for $400 and i know i payed too much... $1700 - $2000 for a rusty rolla... You guys are crazy ;) Quote
Astro Boy Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Posted July 6, 2008 Here it is ;) Neato! I'm excited. Quote
tas_ae71 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 re read what he posted, he got the fiddy five. prices vary so much with corollas. there are a lot of c**ts out there who put huge grate big prices on them, like 2-3k for a average spec ke70. they say its a good car good on fuel blah blah, at the end of the day its a smeg box in every way apart from perhaps being reasonably reliable in some cases... irokin Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Just don't complain when you go to sell your corolla and find the resale price is shite because everyone devalues them... ;) Quote
Gspec Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Here it is ;) ................... Neato! I'm excited. If she's as clean in the flesh as she looks in the pic 1 fat gorilla is a fair price. Good find. :( Just don't complain when you go to sell your corolla and find the resale price is shite because everyone devalues them... ;) I wont have any problems with my Rolla: A) its my daily, i will be driving it for a long time B) if i lose money on the resale, i will have saved that and then some on the fuel and maintainance... good ol' 4K C) unlike most other Rollas i've seen for sale, mine will be rust free and repaired by a pro. Cut n shut... NO BOG!!! PLUS given the lack of of proper rust repairs i've seen, my rolla will be only 1 of only a small handfull of rust free KE70's! :jamie: Quote
Astro Boy Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Posted July 6, 2008 (edited) she's got a bit of rust in the rear right guard that needs to be fixed as far as i know, but thats the whole fun of a project car :D EDITZ also, driver seat bit saggy, passenger seat bit warned dunnoo what else. Edited July 6, 2008 by Astro Boy Quote
tas_ae71 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 sick as, i didnt see that pic when i posted, doesn't look too bad. oh and if i was to sell mine i wouldn't be selling to general public probaly as yes it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea being "modified". good luck, cut skids Quote
colonel Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Don't wanna burst your bubble, but I went and had a look and that rear guard has had more bog put in it than a public toilet. Quote
