cobba Posted August 14, 2008 Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 if you notice the bottom of the lower part of the sump is angled slightly for the lean of the engine, it should be level.hard reving my cause the oil to stay in the head causing less oil in the sump plus its angled to the right, the pick up could come out of the oil depenging on your driving style at the time. ive seen a number of the 20v engines spinning a bearing on the crank, not saying this is causing it but they do seem to have a oil issue. Better safe than sorry. If you notice in my sig picture youll see my 20v leaning to the left for that reason as this is my second engine, the first spun a bearing. Ok thanks for tip:) By the way does your 20 valve have poor bottom end pull? I know it produces good power at higher revs but i am wondering if it needs to be re-tuned? Cheers Quote

Sam_Q Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 oh I don't know about that my 20v had heaps of mid range power with what felt like a tottaly linear power curve, but what may seem like heaps to me may be crap to you, without a dyno who knows eh? Quote
NickZ Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 mine is crap downlow, i find if i don't get the revs up in first gear second seems flat and then through the rest of the gears feel slow, Giving it heaps of the line and changing around 7500+ it feels like it goes with lost of power, But thats a 20V engine for you, ive got my VVT coming in at 4000rpm and then the rev start to climb alot faster than below that and you can feel a little more pull. Hello, I got it re-tuned with the vvt coming on way earlier, like between 2000 and 3000rpm, way more bottom end power now. They are heaps better with the vvt re-set. Chris Quote

nIsMo86 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Hey mate i'm just curious how you went about making up the engine mounts for your 20v setup. I'm looking to put one in my gf's ke55 in the next few weeks. Quote
sharpshane Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 @ cobba, hey I really like the front bumper, where did you get it or get the style from. I would like to see how the back is done too if you could post some pix. Quote
