calaissix Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 Head's back and torqued up correctly, new water pump, thermostat and all new gaskets but still overheats ! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.............. ;) if the radiator is stuffed then the overheating is what probably blow the head gasket.get it check by a pro,its a small investment.get the cooling system pressure tested when its back together to make sure your not loosing coolant Quote
leigh Posted July 5, 2008 Author Report Posted July 5, 2008 Swapped the radiator with one that i know is in good cond and still does the same thing ;) now has a miss aswell ;) Quote

silverra23 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 oh and when you did the head gasket did you get the head straightened/skimmed or did you fire it back in as it was? could have the same problem if you didn't... Quote

Head has been skimmed  and radiator has been flow and pressure tested! One strange thing is when it is on the "H" symbol on the gauge i can still open the radiator and stick my finger in the water for a second or so! Its no where near hot boiling  Quote
