muller Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 I don't care what condition a KE20/25 shape is in, they all look great to me. That is a nice example with some potential though. Well done. If you do end up selling it, send it to a good home Quote
boris Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 I'm holding it for him but if he can't come up with the cash and i don't build a shed in that time, i will be selling Awesome! Quote
Budowski Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Posted March 8, 2009 Well its been a long time since i did an update been very busy. Ive taken the AE71 off the road to finish off a few things and in the mean time ive decided to pull the KE25 out of the weeds and bring her back to life. So far ive found a split in a hose leaking very badly but was worse than i had expected. Ive replaced the waterpump, thermostat, hoses, upper thermostat housing and suspect a coroded head. I had another reconditioned head but sold it not thinking i was going to have to use it, have to wait and see what happens i may pull it apart next weekend. Other things, ive replaced the fuel hoses and one battery clamp. I'm going to rub the cars 5 year old paint back and give it another paint job. Some pics. Quote

Budowski Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Yeh i know what you guys mean love the car doesnt really owe me anything but a few months of bodywork. ok update as stated with pics. I didnt get time to do much today due to the installation of a head unit and speakers into the missus seca. Roof, carpet and seat covers. Carpet isnt finished yet i just layed it in there for test fir needs a little trimming and some underfealt. The brown painted sections for the front seat bolt points will be painted satin black and the factory rear 1/4 and lower seat base sections re-vinyled. Now that the missus car is out the way ill be able to concentrate more next weekend. Rear parcel shelf and dash covering have yet to be done. Quote
Budowski Posted March 20, 2009 Author Report Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Ive been off work with the flu the other workers brought to work so for last few days going nuts and being bored but no energy to do anything. Unit today. I was feeling well enough to finish the rubback of the roof and rust tratment coating on some bare metal parts. This is all unprofesional of course, but a few things i picked up from the painting trade when a car is needed back on the road quick. Roof now 1st coat of primer to rub back. Some might say "why did you paint over the window seals and not mask the car up" well the last time the car was painted i gave a good friend at the time the car and asked for a respray while i was away in townsville for 3 months. Came back he had been rough with the roof and only 1/2 done the roof and painted over the seals. I attempted to rectify the many mistakes that were done but needed a car on the road as a daily so finished of the paintjob quickly. So as it stands I'm just sealing up the car before the winter sets in and while i wait for the shed to be built so bad rust doest set in. Edited March 20, 2009 by Budowski Quote
