WinKE55 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Welcome to Rollaclub. Where are you from exactly? I can't really help with your $300 question, as I am more into older KE rollas. Maybe get your head shaved, or even do a port and polish, or even a better cam. Have fun! Quote
KE ping it real Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Easiest mod under $300 would probably be a cold air intake setup Should see a couple of extra kw from it as well as being a bit more responsive And welcome to rollaclub :P Quote
csi_roller Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 I'm from newcastle guys seen a couple of nice rollers getting around here aswell anyone got a kingspring super lows for sale whos keen to sell Quote
benzo Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Welcome to Rollaclub. :P Unfortunately you cannot gain too much power from an N/A engine for $300, however you have made a good start with exhaust, and the extractors you have planned will add a bit more power again. A pod filter will gain a kw or two, however there is not really much more you can do performance wise for your budget. Cheers, Ben. Quote
ke11restorer Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 No offence but if you after performance stay well away from corollas go buy a vb 253 :P :S :no2: Quote

csi_roller Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 once the motor gets a bit tired I'm going to put a 20v silver top in her and super charge it aswell Quote
xstatic Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 u said a naughty word u said "ford" get urself a good set of sparks and leads to go with ur extractors and exhaust might help alittle bit. cheers scott Quote
Jono Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 if you are on a budget now but want to do an engine conversion later, i'd suggest selling it (before you spend any money on pod filters & extractors and other waste of money items) and buying either an SX or AE71 corolla instead. Quote
200Boy Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 (edited) I agree with the cold air intake otherwise not much use playing with a 4afe other than decent oil, a nice flowing filter (not open in the engine bay) and other routine things to make it run nice. Id like to see someone put a c52 in these just to see what the higher final drive ratio would be like, but thats just for my own curiousity ;) Super low kings are usually for looks and not handling. They also might cause clearance issues with 17s. A lot of people have clearance issues with 17s anyway and end up selling them for more practical 15s or 16s. Supercharged silvertop eh. Will believe it when I see it ;) Good luck :( Edited July 5, 2008 by 200Boy Quote
Sinate Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 things like this lol me. wondering what to do to a car for $300 to get more power but later on planning on putting a supercharged 20v in good luck Quote
