corolla_nut Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) I was wondering if anyone from here has ever been to the Kandos car show? It's on every year on the Australia day long weekend, and it's a pretty good couple of days out. I saw a ke30 2 door in 07 and an off its tits orange ke20 this year. Oh yeah, and there's been an orange levin there both years that ive been. It has show and shine, motorkhana, toss a spud, whoa to go, burnouts etc. And if thats not enough....It has BEER! I know how much everyone likes beer! :( yuck! I reckon it'd be cool to organise a whole heap of rollas to go to this!! What do you think? Edited June 26, 2008 by corolla_nut Quote

KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Yeah ive been there the past 2 years and with any luck ill be there again this year. I saw the orange ke20, had a quick chat to the fella, he was camped right across from me and my mates. He had problems with it (coolant leaking) so he didnt get a proper run. But i never saw the ke30 2 door the year before. And i saw the orange levin also. He is a member on here. If i go up next year ill definately take my ke25 for a run. Quote
KE04AG Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Yeah Kandos is a great weekend. It is a very laid back show. I have been there the last 6-7 years, and helped my father-in-law judge the show n shine for last 4 years. They get some good quality cars and there always seems to be a corolla or two up there. I highly recommend attending. Quote

Rolla Boy Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Kandos is prolly the best show in the circuit in my opinion... Been there for the last 4 years or so and never looked back... Looking forward to the show in January, time for more grass events and gunna give the donuts a go too, revese stylez haha... Quote
corolla_nut Posted October 28, 2008 Author Report Posted October 28, 2008 (edited) So.... Who's going to Kandos next year? Is anyone on here on the Rylstone and Kandos Street Machine Club? Does anyone know how tough they are in scrutineering and what they look for? Any help with those would be appreciated Cheers :) Oh, and here's a link to the 2009 website: http://www.kandosstreetmachine.org.au/ Edited October 28, 2008 by corolla_nut Quote
Rolla Boy Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 All the info should be on the website man... Check the entry form, usually has the items on there which will be checked for scrutineering... They are pretty strict with their checks so make sure it's all done otherwise you won't be entering... I'll be there like I am every year... Not too sure if the Corolla will be with me this time tho... Quote
Rollasrus Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 can somebody explain to me what they mean by having a 360 degree tailshaft loop? Quote
corolla_nut Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 it's a loop of solid steel which completely envelopes your tailshaft, about 6inches or so back from the front uni. Just go to your local parts shop, they should have some. Universal fit Quote
Rolla Boy Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Gotta love having my FWD, no driveshaft loops for me :jamie: :D :D ... Quote
Rollasrus Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 ok but why the hell would you need to cover the tailshaft, I hve n involved inome motorsport (mostly off road and 4wd cops) and have never seen a requirement for anything as silly as that, what would the purpose of it actually be. its not like anybody is gonne go underneath the car as its driving. I am wondering how one would be mounted firstly, and the fact it would rub on your tailshaft as the rear suspension cycles up and down. Quote
corolla_nut Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 They're worried about the tailshaft coming loose and pole vaulting your car into oblivion! Quote
