_FNQ_rolla_ Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 Awww yes, I do remember this car as it did catch my attention with that heading. May I ask what are you going to do with the rose joints, because when I get my car on the road I will be drawing up on CAD some plans to make a set of Caltracs’ to help control axel trap. Quote
ke-rolla Posted September 15, 2012 Author Report Posted September 15, 2012 thats exactly what there for mate, planning to make up a pair for this, the plan is to use chrome moly tube but havent got my hands on any yet, have a pretty good idea of how I'm going to set them up as a mate of mine made up a set for his KE20, id be interested to see what ideas you have though on setting them up? ke-rolla Posted September 24, 2012 Author Report Posted September 24, 2012 Picked the car up and brought her home on sunday, happy as with the outcome of the work thats been done, now time to start going over it and getting it ready for start up and tune! Got it up on axle stands tonight and whipped of the calipers and hubs, gonna replace the seals and powdercoat the calipers and replace the wheel bearings as they don't sound so flash, engine looks a bit naked but should get the missing bits back from the polishers within the next 2 weeks :D 1 Quote

ke-rolla Posted March 14, 2013 Author Report Posted March 14, 2013 well engine bays pretty much finished and its finailly alive! sounds a bit like a untuned tractor at the moment though so will put up a video when its all tuned and driving, car currently getting the exhaust done and then off to the tuners for its run in tune! woohoo Quote
azza91 Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 engine bay looks awsome. will be fun to drive thats for sure Quote
ke-rolla Posted March 14, 2013 Author Report Posted March 14, 2013 Front discs and calipers are off a s6 rx7 (fd3s), and the rears are just single pot s13 discs Quote
ke-rolla Posted June 8, 2013 Author Report Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) man I'm slack on updating this, better late than never I guess, few updates since the last time I was on here, exhaust is all finished, full stainless steel 3" with 2 mufflers, stoked with how it sounds an yes its alive, compression turned out to be a bit less than expected so power output wasn't as high as I expected for its first tune which got 230kw atw on 15psi, but on the upside I can crank the boost up a hell of a lot more than I planned to and the motors been easily built to handle it so its got a lot more power to come! had it out for a brief run last week to make sure all was running sweet and riding well, guards need a little more pumping out to clear its shoes and need some bump stops so the driveshaft doesn't try to eat its way rear floor, other than that its a hell of a lot of fun to drive and loves to step its rear-end out! all lights etc are now going again so next on the list is to get the gauges reading properly, guards pumped out and bump stops put in and then it should be all ready for paint and re-assembly! visually the car doesn't look all that different from the last few pics but here's a couple pics I took when I got her home to the shed, good to be home! ke-rolla Posted October 21, 2013 Author Report Posted October 21, 2013 update time!, sorry again guys for the crap effort of updates, have been flat out with a mixture of work and working on the car to get it ready for its first public event in November (powercruise) car is painted now and it has been a hectic last few months tracking down new door/window seals getting bits and pieces cleaned up etc before they are fitted to the car, the puzzle is finally coming together though, just a few more electrical things and other minor bits and pieces to be sorted, windows to go in and shes pretty much ready to go for a cert! she's also been tuned and run in, currently running about 230kw atw on 14psi, car is currently at the tuners in the process of a full power tune so watch this space.... 1 Quote
