(ghey ass FWD =[) so the 55 project is to begin, will start stripping her down ready to prep for paint and whatnot, and then new engine goodness XD, as long as i can find someone to help out with the engine goodness anyways! ill help with what ever i can manage to do hahahahaha but yeah Quote

Raven Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Yet I bet its still quicker than most of the corolla's on here :P I hate FWD too, but when you're doing a ground up rebuild, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and drive something you particularly don't love in order to get your pride and joy to where you want it to be. ;) My magna sucks, I hate it, it has a heap of get up and go in it though, but I'll be sticking with it until the KE25 is done, then it will be sold to make way for a MkIII Supra ;) So don't bag her for driving a Nissan. You own a Holden, go figure :P Quote

Murd 55 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 well the pulsar is gone, was meant to be picking up my new car today, but once again can't rely on anyone. so now i have no way of gettin to work tomorrow but o well. will work something out. will start to pull her down slowly but will be under a car cover till we move somewhere, that will hopefully, well better bloody have a decent carport or garage that i can shove her in to get the job done properly. paid for my 5k but wont bother picking it up yet, need to at least get an engine stand and will probably be easier to get it once we have moved. planned on painting it a sort of darkish grey/gunmetal colour. but seems that myles old 30 got painted a very similar colour as i had planned and not one to take others ideas so i don't really know anymore. prob still will paint it that sort of colour. also decided to take the centres also back to a silver/grey in my rims as the lighter colour makes them look larger, and always good when you only have 14's! Murd 55 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Report Posted June 3, 2009 hmm, so i have not started pulling her apart and whilst fiddling around the engine bay, i relised that i have aircon and it is apparently (according to the label) under high pressure and i shant tamper with it, so if this is so, how the hell am i meant to get it all out so as i can spray the bay? i have taken the grill out, done a couple bolts on the front bar, still tryin to work out a way to undo the ceased chassis rail bolts instead of like 12 bolts on the bar itself, taken out the indicators, undone all but 1 or two bolts in the front guards, the damn bolts under the car are also ceased. obviously taken a piece of the kit off to work out they are ceased, they actually broke my damn socket, i gues that shows me that my cheap shit sockets are just that! SLO-030 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Good quality tools are a great investment :bash: just crack one of the hoses and let the gas escape slowly. you can get people out to degas them but i think they charge a bit to do it. Quote

Agreed, f@$k the environment :bash: big thing tho just make sure you have safety goggles on don't want refridgerant under high presure squirting in your eye you'd end up looking like a pirate. Wrap a rag around which ever fitting you undo whilst slowing letting it leak out. Quote
