SLO-030 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 most HD clutches on the market are a very light upgrade from standard, the are much like a standard clutch in regards to feel with a slightly heavier pedal. Id recommend going atleast to a HD, atleast then you wont have to change it again later down the track if/when you do some performance mods Bianca, thats what i was tryin to say on msn. Ryan just worded it better :y: Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 I'm going to see if there is any adjustment left in mine and all that and see if she runs any better if there is cos she is also in dire need of a service as the timing is all out as unfortunately points keep wearing, but hopefully this weekend give her a service and maybe she will go a fair bit better. Murd 55 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) today i was fiddling in behind my dash to see how much effort it would take to move the stereo down seeing as it didnt seem to fit in the dash, whilst doing so i discovered why it didnt sit properly. some moron, aka me, when putting it back in didn't clip the plastic bit under the cigar lighter properly causing it to push the dash outwards. so now the dash is in there properly and the stereo is in there properly and you know i can't be bothered moving it as it fits so snug! Murd 55 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 so this weekend the old girl is getting a service, and i'm going to get my mechanic friend to look over the brakes ect to see if there are any other issues that need attending. i also managed to spot a washer motor whilst down at super cheap so i grabbed it and hoorah my washers finally work! still extremely happy about the dash, i wish i wasn't such a morone at times! Clown Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Car looks great. I really should get around to polishing the cressida. Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 ok so car went for her service today, and it is so much nicer now =] seeing as the timing is right and all. and once again bianca needs a new diff. i guess thats what happens with second hand diffs. mechanic is going to look into gettin a rebuilt centre and then using my axles ect as they were all rebuilt and machined when i got the diff changed over last time. also need to flush my radiator as apparently it looks like murray river water. lol. but apart from that all is well. clutch needs an adjustment but isnt slipping. and drum brakes got adjusted so now i have brakes again! Murd 55 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 (edited) this here depresses me. note the crack further up as well. a crack through the bog in the guard. damnit! the smudge is something weird on my camera.. but yeah. stupid bog. I'm not AS sad as i could have been as i do plan on stripping her at some point doing a full respray ect as more rust has come through that needs to be dealt with, and i will definately be steering clear from bog this time. greenmac80 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 hmm thats sucks!!! bog should never do that unless it wasn't sealed properly or given enough time to complete its shrinking. Quote
