Murd 55 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 well. it seems that my good friend didnt like my operating handbrake, ripped it and snapped the cable on me. lol so it shall be fixed today hopefully after work. lets hope my car doesnt roll away before then. also it would appear that young Claudia is in need of a new clutch as her thrash potential is minimized by a very worn clutch, also the possibility of no clutch scares me so i must drive grandpa spec now. Anyways, nothing really new to say. just that she is falling apart on me =[ Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 hmm, i feel some decals itching to attach themselves to young claudia =] Quote
SLO-030 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 i think the decals will have to wait. i think the cars itching to be closer to the ground :( Not a big fan of the photoshop pic, will look better in the flesh me thinks=] Quote
SLO-030 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Meh, clutches. Not worn till your running on the brass rivets like my ke25 was :( Quote
Johno Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 also it would appear that young Claudia is in need of a new clutch as her thrash potential is minimized by a very worn clutch Meh, clutches. Not worn till your running on the brass rivets like my ke25 was :( I think its nearly time now, lol  Quote
JiP Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 For the handbrake, just leave the car in gear and it wont roll away. Thats what my mum and dad always tought us when parking our car. Leave it in gear in case the handbrake fails. Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 oh the handbrake is fixed now. clutch isnt real bad. not slipping that much just not working that great either. Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 yeah thats what dad thought, gettin a service this weekend prob so see if the mechanic can do ne thing then. Quote
SLO-030 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 if all else fails. get a Exedy HD clutch like i did. pics of said clutch in my thread :( Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 no point gettin HD. chances are, ill struggle to use it, so may as well keep thrashin standard duty ones :( Quote
SLO-030 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I haven used the HD one yet but i can't see it being heaps harder than a std duty clutch. and its not liek a button clutch that doesnt have any slip in it. Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 in all honesty. i don't see the point of a HD clutch in a standard 4k, i don't see the point in anything that isn't going to be run hard all the time. i see the point in race cars so as you don't wear them down in no time, but for a daily driver that isn't thrashed like a racecourse, there isn't a point. 13BT_KE20 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 most HD clutches on the market are a very light upgrade from standard, the are much like a standard clutch in regards to feel with a slightly heavier pedal. Id recommend going atleast to a HD, atleast then you wont have to change it again later down the track if/when you do some performance mods Quote
