300 for extractors. 70 for fitting and temp welding leaves $480 on a 2" system. Still 200 more than i got quoted for pretty much the same in 2 1/4" :)

That is a bit over the top maybe you could get your Dad or a male friend to get a quote for you Bianca. I hate it when people try to rip people off.

don't forget the inlet manifold has to modded slightly to fit the extractors.. i know mine has too

not exactly sure but the dude who did the extractors on my car to 2" paid about $350-$400 about 1 month ago!!

if you look at the flange on the extractors, and the flange on the stock exhaust mani... they are different slightly. the extractors wont fit in properly unless you grind away near the bolts holes on the inlet manifold. ive heard of others having to do this as well.

 

Also some times the extractor flange is thicker or thinner then the inlet one so you will have to get it shaved a bit, otherwise one manifold will tighten on harder then the other.

so for Christmas my dad decided to buy me an orbital polisher as well as some cut and polish so i spent most of today giving it a go, managed to get most of the imperfections out especially a lot of the scratches that had recently appeared from being in car parks.

I do think your quote for your exhaust is a bit much. I had mine done for $330 exhaust (inc. cannon. $170 without) and $330 for extractors.

 

Shop around, there've got to be dozens of exhaust shops around down there. Maybe try getting your dad to shop around for you incase they are trying to rip you off cause your a chick.

and i think like 330 for a 2inch system, with a resonator and sports muffler plus chrome tip doesn't sound too bad.

I found them to be very resonably priced.
