Have been reserching the possibility of fitting n/a bigport cams into my late 92 gze motor. Would love to hear from someone who has done this and enlighten me as to the worth, and what ill effects this has on the drivability.

have a read on toymods, i think a lot of people have done it and said its not a noticeable difference and other people reckon its worth it.

question is; if it makes good power why did toyota bother redesigning the cams for the later car?

there are 2 version of bigport cams make sure the ones your are getting are the really early version. other was they are almost the same as the cam you have in your motor now.

jono - redesigned for the different ports in the smallport

Had a read of that topic- interestingly, there was a gain to be made. However with only 8 degree more duration and 1/2 mm lift the gains are minimal. I have a dead early blue top lying around and will probably swap them in at a later date. Does anyone know where to buy aftermarket in the Brisbane area.

Tighe cams is a good mob that alot of people deal with. They'll weld to your existing cams and regrind, or supply billet's too. Heaps of range, they'll tailor a cam to your needs, for similar money as a HKS item.
