Thought I might as well introduce myself on here with a members ride thread,

have owned the car Since, December 07, and bought it like this, minus the sprayed black rims

few weeks after purchasing the car, blew the gasket on the so called "indestructable" 3tc motor. i thought it was cool to buy some rims and thrash the motor even more, i bought some 14x6 +15 or so challengers with tractor spec tyres

finally blew it completely which means the 'ol girl was ready for a makeover, decided to go with JDM 4age 16V as it was in my budget and readily available.

after selling the s13 pig i wrapped around a pole and another car i had funds for my 4age conversion

Ben at KYP was really helpful and hooked me up with motor, gearbox, loom, ecu, x member, bell housing, tailshaft, everything to bolt into the T series,

this is the final product after 2 days work in a shed, I used an s13 radiator and from what i believe a bottom hose from a magna and top hose from a commodore, i also used a pretty simple EFI set up just with a VL fuel external pump, no surge tank lift pump set up etc.

Unfortunately was unable to source parts and have funds to convert the steering to rack and pinion. cleared the factory steering with some custom secondaries, after driving around off manifold for a fortnight i couldn't bare to do it anymore.

was getting fairly see sick so decided to lower the car with some stiffer shocks, came across a pretty sweet deal which involved the following

*ae86 struts

* ae86 brakes

* adjustable koni yellow shocks

*Uknown lovell springs from and rear

this is the final product,

oh and i guess some 14x7 0 gold centered starsharks couldnt go astray either.

Nothing a tiny bit of neg camber couldnt fix either

so this is how it stands at the time being after a blown clutch, few sets of rubber and fuel injector o ring problems I'm more than happy with it, i might have forgotten a few parts but yeah, here it goes

  • RWD JDM 4age and t50 gearbox
    ae86 tailshaft
    ae86 cross member
    ae86 bellhousing
    s13 radiator
    VL fuel pump
    new fuel injector o rings
    custom secondaries
    muffler with tweaking exit pipe
    removed cat converter
    koni 4way adjustables
    lovell springs
    ae86 struts
    ae86 ADM brakes
    d1 spec steering wheel

FUTURE PLANS

  • Rack and pinion conversion
Effective exhaust system ie: extractors 2" under the diff
    window tint
Head Unit with some decent splits and amp
    maybe another set of rims
    Quads

and my favourite picture of the car:

Hope you guys enjoyed the story and pictures and amused you for 2minutes.

taken me a while to write, so sorry if it gets sloppy towards the end, ive probably missed out on heaps of shit, and doesnt really make sense, but it goes hard and handles pretty nicely.

peace out.

the only thing they don't have is rack and pinion steering.

the front struts are easy to use,

if you want to be an ultimate cheep skate you can even use the stock steering arms and stock strut tops

and ae86 struts are always around because ae86 guys always upgrading to coilovers etc

plus they have mighty good looks :D

and pretty much any conversion that an ae86 does this does.
