greenmac80 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 Ok since the green beast is getting a respray to help engineering and to fix all my recurring rust problems. I'm trying to decied on a way to break up the green. Now i want some striping but i can't decide what? here are my dodgy 'paint' jobs. these two? or this? i'm leaning toward the off centre stripes but it might look a bit wanky on a corolla. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 A single black along the side AND a single black offset will look good :) Quote
harun Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 how bout not strips at all, will look better in my opinion. Quote
Pieman Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 I think white stripes would look better on a green car. Quote
greenmac80 Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 Well the yellow is e representation of gold. if i do those stripes they will be gold or black. Quote
love ke70 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 i think u need a new colour...then it wouldnt be so overwhelming, its only a little car, it shouldnt need to be broken up, good body lines a nice colour should be enough. stripes never do it for me, sorry Quote
greenmac80 Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 Only thing is that i love the colour. it lights up sooo well in the sun and draws attention. maybe i can get those factory sticky strips? i pulled mine off but i reckon it'll be better with em. Quote
love ke70 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 the overcast skies probably don't show the paint to its best advantage have you considered something like the corolla stickers down the length of the bottom of the doors that some have. i think jip 01 has it? ive seen a few around, it may be what you need? cheers Quote
fusion Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 Your choice of wheels could be a factor to consider :) Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 same as mine i know, but it breaks up the colour well Just get the chrome around the headlight that bolts onto the front of the guard, the biot across the bonnet, and up around the windows should look hot Quote
Palmy Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 (edited) same as mine i know, but it breaks up the colour well Just get the chrome around the headlight that bolts onto the front of the guard, the biot across the bonnet, and up around the windows should look hot where the black and the green meet in this photo, i was planning on doing a white pinstripe on my green. but i pulled out because i have no idea if it would look good or not. it isnt a major colour difference but small things can make big differences, in the photos u quickly whipped up i liked the "gold" going over the top of the car Edited May 30, 2008 by Palmy Quote
Raven Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Dody single white stripe done on my old KE55 by the previous owner... But.... a nice set of wheels with a sold colour looks the goods too, as per my KE30 I used to own.... Quote
Kid-Ae Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Yeah with the green you should look at chrome wheels and a white/off white pinstripe. A wise man once told me that you should use pinstriping to elongate the vehicles appearance. :) Quote
