silverra23 Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Hi all Any one got any experience in sourcing front and rear windscreen rubbers for a KE35/55 hard top? I am guessing the usual sources like rare spares/scotts rubber, but thought I might find someone who already knew where the cheapest was?? Cheers Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 Last time I had a windscreen replaced in a 55 we reused the rubber seal!! Remove the chrome (or chrome cracked :y: seal) push out winscreen remove seal re-fit seal to new glass push back in push chrome seal back in :( Quote
silverra23 Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 Thanks for suggestion however mine are rock hard and torn and letting water in... hence the desire for new ones. silverra23 Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 I got my front one from windsceens obrien, they were a bit cheaper than clark rubber. Thanks for the ideas guys. Bought the front one from autorubbers.com.au for $110. don't think you can do much better than that. Rare Spares had same part number for about $140. Rear one is problematic.. rare spares / autorubbers didnt have any and said 2-3 months. So i went to Scotts Rubber. Nearly twice the price but in stock in around two weeks. Quote

Corolla1 Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I've been told that rare spares is the place to go, I'm also looking for seals for the front and back for my KE35 because mine are incredibly hard and cracked. Quote
