Medicine_Man Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I would have said it was a switch to turn on a low oil level light..? Thats what the oil pressure switch is for.. Quote
Gavatron Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) Thats what the oil pressure switch is for.. Nope. The oil pressure switch is for low oil PRESSURE (hence the name) That is a low oil LEVEL switch. My 5K had one. Has a float that goes in the oil. When the oil level get low, the float drops with it and turns a light on. Edited August 6, 2008 by Gavatron Quote
andr3w Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 just wondering, did you run the white/yellow wire from the regulator box to the alternator or did you run a new wire to the alternator? (not using any of the wires in the old loom) I'm in the same pickle, Thanks, andrew Quote
prosbo Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 pretty sure he ran a new wire he said "i ran my own positive wire to the battery and removed the external regulator and now everything is sweet!" cheers T Quote
