Falken_KE30 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Stupid question i know but it needs a answer. Does anybody know the size of the following? The bolts that hold gearbox CM to the chassis The bolts and nuts that hold the box to the block. the bolts that hold the bottom of the front guard to the chassis the bolts the hold the tailshaft to the diff, 4 of them I'm sure. Thats all i can think of for now, Just need to know sizes so i can buy some as i don't have them, Regards Dan Quote
furryfrog Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 the tailshaft ones are 8mm by 1.25 iirc.. find yourself a handful of random nuts + bolts and see which ones fit (without forcing them) easiest way Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted May 20, 2008 Author Report Posted May 20, 2008 yeah its just i don't have any random nuts and bolts. might have to go to wreckers and just take some bolts. bad point about that is, the only rolla there is boxed in by other cars. so getting under it will be a pain. Quote
Redwarf Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) Bolts gearbox x-member to chassis: M10 x 1.25 about 30mm long Box to block: M12 x 1.25, various lengths Front guard to chassis. Either M6 x 1.0 or M8 x 1.25, I can't remember which, although probably the former, as that's what all the top ones are. Tail shaft: M8 sounds about right, but you definitely want high tensile.
