Specs:

1.3 4k

4 speed manual

Aircon-not for long.

fulysic am-fm tape player

My new project. Ke70 panelvan. Picked it up off some kid that had blown the clutch in his paddok for $50.

although the car is not rusty. it had many dents. i have started to panelbeat most of them. still getting onto the rest. i have another clutch for it. havent bothered to put it in yet. still need a starter motor. The main problem that i have atm is the passenger door. The seam has split off the door and it is falling apart. i will either need to find another one or just weld it up. I don't plan to have this thing completly straight and clean. its my p plateers car. nothing special.

Plans:

1.6ac

5 speed.

14 inch rims of some sort.

reasonable wide rubber.

panelvan panels instead of windows.

plus all other things that need to be done so its road legal

I was going to take you up on that till yesterday.

Found another ke70 5 speed sedan. trying to convince this guy that he doesnt need it in his paddok.

hopefully i should have it by next week so the motor and box out of that will go in my van. also have been sanding and cleaning it over the last few days after school etc.

Its a real shame about the bumper, its a hard one to find. Love the paddock paint scheme. PVs are the business, hope it turns out how you want.

As cool as panels are and look, being a pano driver myself i can tell you they're a pain it the arse, if I were in your position i would be painting the window surrounds from front to back and going dark tint. It's functional and looks really good. If you want some pics of what i mean PM me and you can either catch me on msn or i can just send them.

This lookslike a full-on job, can;t wait to see some progress.

I agree with Paul, paint your window surrounds to legthen the window line, it will strengthen the horizotal lines and make your car look longer and lower AND it will kepp your car safer ie: keep your blind spot to a minimal.

Good luck and keep the pics coming.

Its been awhile since i updated this. Its been very slow till the last couple of weeks. Started really hacking into it. Sanded the car mostly down. Knocked most of the dents out. Treated the rust where the windows used to be. The 4k runs like a dream......hard to believe but it is a k series motor! Gotta go pick up my clutch soon and drop that in. I should end up painting it in the same sort of blue. Started to sort some rims out for the time being. Got some hotwires for the front or soem corona stockies. and rolla stockies on the back. I put another pair of ke70 struts in with some commie heavy duty springs in. Still need 2 coils cut off. The stripe that used to go up the middle of the car was a b*tch to get off. Took forever. But its getting along. I'll have my p's in 2 weeks. I got a few friends coming over in the next week to help me put panelvan panels in and then clean up some more dents and paint it. Hope everything goes well. I also got some halogen lights for it. should make it much easier to see at night.

Heres a pic of some progress.
