Junior Posted June 2, 2004 Author Report Posted June 2, 2004 Demuire : Sorry this reply has been a while, but the diff is running a 3.7 centre. justatoy : As for the amount of money that has been sunk into this car, I think the owner would rather keep that to himself, but lets just say that it probably enough to buy a new car. Junior Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 Just a note for a few people here.. the corolla is now almost finished and is now registered.. Made a trip to Willowbank Raceway on the 11th.... Best run for a first timer was a 13.21@109mph... Plenty more to come from it too. Quote
Teddy Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 PICTURES ! PICTURES ! OMG that would put you back in your seat ! Quote
demuire Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Junior: Excellent :P So you got all those issues sorted out? Will have to see this car up close and personal sometime :) Quote
low n slow Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 HELLYAAAAR this thing is awesome. 13 sec HOLT SHIT. what boost are you running. if you don't mind me asking how much did the engine, box, computer and loom cost and where did you get it from. Quote
Junior Posted September 26, 2004 Author Report Posted September 26, 2004 Had another visit to willowbank again on Saturday night... Got quite a few runs in and finally cracked into the 12's with a 12.83@111mph.. Just getting a few things sorted with the car, as you do with a new combination... This car hadn't even seen the road for 3 years until 3 weeks ago. Also had a change to 4.11 diff gears.. BTW them 8" rims look good, but we raced this week on some falken azenis on 15" alloys... still has traction problems too... should be good for at least a 12.5. Bar all that, it still stops and corners really well, and a tonne of fun to drive.. Will have to meet up with a few of youse so you can check it out sometime.. Quote

demuire Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 Well, if you bothered to read the last few posts, you'd know that it is up and running. Also, as Rob said in the other post, punctuation is your friend. Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 fark, 411s and 12s, i'm impressed! whats it like to drive with that turbo on it? is the engine stock besides the snail, fmic and exhaust? is there anything you would have done differently? name some things you've raced and proudly flogged the arse out of in your 12 second car :doublebird: Quote
Xany Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 hey, junior..... i'm currently considering sorcing a R31 diff for my car.....is there any chance you could maybe hook me up with one thats already shortened.....if not, could you maybe point me in the direction i might find one for cheap? Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Hey that car is incredible... DAMN YOU GUYS AND YOUR STUPID SHORT ENGINES THAT FIT PERFECTLY INTO YOUR ENGINE BAYS!!!!!!!!!! Xany, you know the diff i've got in mine (alfa romeo one) if you can find one of those then buy it. They are incredible tough. and I mean incredibaly. and they look so much cooler than other diffs :) But yeah I love that car man! Quote
Super Jamie Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 what are you on about? engine bays from ke30 to ke71 are the same length. actually, i think the 30/55 might even be a tad shorter Quote
Redwarf Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 The difficult part about Alfa diff is getting tailshaft bolts for them, as Datgirl can attestify to with the Classic Adelaide Escort. I had to send some down from BNE from the only guy who had them here....... You're right though, very strong..... Quote
