I wouldn't exactly call it grandma spec, but it looks good dude. :)

Different to most KE20s. Must go good with the 5k.

whitewalls would look good on her.

You sure the rear is lowered 2 inches? Looks almost standard, I've just put 1.5 inch blocks in the rear of my 20 and its much lower than that...

As for the esky Scott I'd say maybe rolled going by his sig. :S

Cheers, Ben.

Sorry dude, but I liked the look of it in the first pics better. A set of nicer wheels would have set it off nicely.

Don't know about you guys, but I think the "ol'skool" look with venetions, sunvisor, slammed with whitewalls, is getting pretty boring with EVERYONE doing it on anything and everything.

Anyway, each to their own. It is your car, do what makes you happy.

Totally agree with you there dude.

There is nothing eye-catching about whitewalls and venetians in my books.

well as you said each to there own and in the end its what you makes you happy,

but the whole idea of the white walls, vanetian blinds, hubbys and so on is that it looks original and adds a bit of

spiffyness(new word) to the old rollas aswell, and as for slammin them on there bottoms well it looks mad and handles well...

i know you said that you think "everyone is doing it" but i know that i would much prefer and so would a few other people to see the original looking whitewalls, vanetians, eg on the ke1x ke2x and even some other models,

rather than seeing some ke10 with 17" gold rims, flaired guards, super dark tint, no original interior, and a momo steering wheel! i mean come on! :n: its not nice to look at, it burns your eyes,

but hey each to there own :y: :P    :y:

by the way nice ke20 don't mind it, hows it go with the 5k?

cheers haydo

I'm sorry, but running 12" tyres on a car that sits on the bumpstops shouldn't be in the same sentence as the words "handles well". 12" tyres are crap for handling and are not very safe when it comes to actually going around corners, braking, driving in the wet, and in general avoiding all the other idiots out there to keep your pride and joy in one piece. A slammed car with limited suspension travel would only handle on a super smooth surface like on a racetrack. A slammed car is good for posing, not handling and is a quick way to get defected by the boys in blue.

I agree totally with 17's looking way out of place on an old car.

I'd much prefer to see cars with period mods to suit the era of the car. There are a lot of wheels out there that would suit this the car nicely. Hotwires and jelly beans while still very common today were a popular fitment back in the day. A nice set of old 13 or 14" dragway 4 spokes all polished up would suit this car perfectly with the metallic blue, and allow fitment of performance tyres.

I have to disagree and I know at least a few will agree with me....

I am a big fan of the jdm style old school toyotas etc like in Ravens avatar, but how is an old school Corolla, say a KE11 or KE20 in condition better than new, fully restored back to original, slammed on whitewalls, with venetians and sunvisor not eye catching.

The amount of looks my old KE20 got was proof enough, and that wasn't what I'd call overrated.

As you say though, each to their own.

Imagine how boring it'd be if everyone drove around in stock VN Commodores

Cheers, Ben.

i'd have to disagree also, my old white ke20 got massive amounts of attention when i had it on the stocko hubbies with whitewalls, venetians and nana sunvisor, mainly because people just didn't see that sort of thing around my area. when i got my new wagon and put the nana visor, hubbies n shit on it n took it for its first drive down to the servo i got so much attention it was bizarre. i haven't taken it out since then.

u can't deny that the traditional look of hubbies/whitewalls etc isn't eye catching.

i also don't mind the look of 17's (nothing bigger however) on older rollas, if its done tastefully. which sadly alot of people can't pull off .
