RollaBus_4agze Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 Good news: Rear bar, door handles and mirrors are getting sprayed NOW :) And my front bar should be done by this Thursday :) Quote
RollaBus_4agze Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) Hey guys... Woke up this morning excited because I knew my bars were going to be sprayed this arvo! BUT... Something told me to get the rear bar and just double check that it fitted/lined up right... WRONG! As you can see from the below pics, from where we plastic welded the corners of the front bar on the rear, they don't 100% line up :) The plastic welder guy is going to be coming to my place this Thursday to fix them and then Friday the rear bar will be sprayed with front bar, handles and mirrors ready for pick up on Saturday! Passenger side: *too short* Drivers side: *too long* But other than that, I'm very happy how the bar has turned out and should look sweet once its fixed and painted :) Heres a few random pics: More pics will come end of the week :( Fingers crossed the duco will be finished so I can concentrate on the interior! Cheers, Moe Edited November 18, 2008 by RollaBus_4agze Quote
TheGhost Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 looks like ur bumper is pissed.... twisted toward the drivers side? Quote
RollaBus_4agze Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 Nar it isnt twisted at all dude... The boot isnt on properly because i have to get underneath airbrushed yet! And all ae82 rear bumpers 'sag' a little in the corners! Its just the corners near the wheel arches that arent right... Quote
Trev Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk wtf only good thing is engine and whole engine bay!! Yeah and cutting your springs and putting a gtir scoop on a stock non boosted engine is cool isnt it. Get a life you f*%kwit. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) EDIT: no need for any of that anymore, thanks to admin :) Edited November 19, 2008 by Dunadan Quote
RollaBus_4agze Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 Small update: Plastic welder came today and had a look at the bar... ...will be giving it back to me on Monday completed and fitting correctly! :jamie: Quote
RollaBus_4agze Posted November 24, 2008 Author Report Posted November 24, 2008 Hey guys... The plastic welder came over this morning and dropped off my rear bar... which got modded... again :P I'm very happy how it has come out this time... lines up VERY well! The pics below are just before we took it off again, but as you can see, massive improvement to how it was :jamie: I have dropped them off to Highway Crash Repairs and will be blocked back today, sprayed tomorrow, pick up Wednesday morning (then go to work), and have a nice late night getting it fitted so I can get the pics for JiP :D Cheers, Moe Quote
