boosted_rolla_dreams Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Hey guys, Okay before you just shut this down and giggle to yourself, My girlfriend has a Vt acclaim and I'm really keen on fitting the electric seat's to the rolla. I know how bizarre it seem's but I was wondering if anyone know's the rule's and regulation's for these. I have heard that as long as the original rail's fit with no adjustment's then an engineer's certificate isn't needed. Could anyone confirm this please? With this in mind, I would also at the same time like to re-upholster the material on these seat's to suit the interior of my car. I need a very talented upholsterer for this and any help would be muchly appreciated. Cheer's Heap's keep it rollin!! boosted_rolla_dreams Quote
Redwarf Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 If you fit ANY seat that is not ADR approved for THAT particular car, you need a blue plate. If memory serves, you will also need to put new inertia reel seat belts in, too. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 would look mad i reckon, but surely the seats would be a bit wider than rolla seats? Also, don't think this topic should be in the rides section lol!! :hmm: Quote
boosted_rolla_dreams Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 yeah they prob would be but i think that i could find a way to make them fit removing the surroud of the handbrake and offsetting the seat rails a touch should fit them with in my boundaries.. has anyone heard of this being done before??
