demuire Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 But why? Drive all the way out there, you might as well compete! Even if not to win, just for experience. Last year we had a girl and a guy who were both learning to drive too (and so not the best in clutch control), but they still had a blast, the girl's fairly regular and she's actually quite good now.
trdcamrypride Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 ok then if i come i will compete
NoPsi Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 If the datto is fixed I'll try to make it. Haven't had a good fang in ages.

demuire Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 And if Nick has no car then you'll have to let him drive your car, I'm sure he'll be nice.... right Nick? :P

Edited January 18, 2005 by trdcamrypride
demuire Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 No need helmet. If you have paid for your licence you should be able to use the receipt as proof that you've already got your licence.
trdcamrypride Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 ok, just got the word, sorry guys i can't get there, as the olds are busy, i can only come if i get a lift but i don't expect that. so i might see everyone at the 1 on the 27th if no the next 1.
Medicine_Man Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 shame to hear, competing is such fun :P
99 Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 So who is coming and competing then?
demuire Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I'll be there, hopefully competing, or rather - just having a go :P Unless of course we get so many newbies that we run out of spots, then I'll probably give up my spot for someone else to have a go...
Jason Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) I'm coming just not competing, I'm sure no one wants a noob in there car grinding gears and buring the clutch :P Edited January 19, 2005 by Jason
Redwarf Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 As long as he drives like it's like a motorkhana, and not a drift comp, he should be fine. If he acts like a tool, he'll be in trouble. Having said that, it's hard to get decent drifts going in a motorkhana, as the distance between the pegs are too short. I think he'll find it more difficult than he expects. But it shouldn't be a problem, Mumblezz has adapted quite well... :P
