Yeah man, cars like this get a shit load of attention, even the cops like them, they love the granny factor. I'll be organising a cruise soonish when I get my new car, should be good, a few granny cars, I'll let you know when its on. Cheers, Ben. Quote
smeetsy1 Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Cruise could be good. - Lol talk about attention, i have had many old guys talk to me about it and the other night a freaking undercover cop ! Quote
benzo Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) Yeah oldies love them, had a heap of old folks talking to me last year when I was in the Bay 2 Birdwood. I have been pulled over in the old white 20, just so that the cop could check it out. He was saying his parents had one back in 74 lol. Shiiit I need another one of these, really want a overrated original like yours Will. Theres a damn good one near my place at old folks home, zero rust, no dents, good paint not faded, just needs a good polish. Interior has no rips, dash has no cracks. Plus its a Toyoglide too :) Left a note on the windscreen a while ago but only left my mobile number, saw him driving yesterday though.. Cheers, Ben. Edited June 16, 2008 by benzo Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 id be keen for a cruise as well. add another white 20 with whitewalls and venetians, mine might be a bit faster tho :) Quote
benzo Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) Sweet, yeah yours may be a bit faster than this one. You have to take me for a strap when its going as I said on SA Rotors I need some 'inspiration'. I most likely won't be cruising in a KE20 on the cruise unless I can convinve the old guy in a few weeks, I only see it every month or so. Anyway, enough chat about cruising, I'll let yall know about the cruise in the sa section when I'm ready. :) Sweet car Mitch, and can only get better with your plans! Cheers, Ben. mitch4397 Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 not much progress, but do have some pic's of dents and imperfections i would like to get around to, to bring the car up to scratch. Front seats need a thorough clean! a Few dents in the body, just above the front drivers side wheel arch, rear passenger side wheel arch, 50cent sized bit of rust on rear passenger wheel arch. theres an odd dent in the dash? I'm curious as to know how it actually happened. Id like to have the carpet re-done with some fresh rug. Most likely black, but id also like to know what people think of cream (hard to clean yes!) to match the interior for a luxury look :) Took her for a run through the hills last night, 4k really suprised me and give me a little inspiration to look further into some engine mods, possible dellorto's Quote
