Doogs Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Hi there Dougal we used ke38 front brakes (girlok) with early skyline rear disc brakes and duel master cylinder it all works extremely well i hope this is of some help for you and congrats again for CAR OF THE YEAR well done and deserved. Cheers:- Stuart (THomas dad). Thanks for the info and kind words! This car would be more than worthy of COTY, I love the way you have adapted parts from other Toyotas to fit rather than just buying off the shelf items. You don't need a big budget to complete quality mods! Cheers Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) Hi there Dougal we got nominated this year but did'nt make the short list(Thanks Stu) maybe try again next year hopfuly will have every thing sorted out by then and meet all the criterea. I hope to have all the engine components back by weekend so as i can get the motor back together and running, we only hope that we have solved our problem this time as rebuilding each time is breaking the sons bank acount and he's not happy that he is not driving his little beast around any way we will keep you all updated as we are realy hoping to get well into our 100+RWHP so as said we will keep you updated so by for now. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad). And yes the budget is tight. Edited February 13, 2013 by TOMMYS Ke 11 Quote

TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Report Posted June 8, 2013 Hi there all! well we haven't been on for a while so i thought id bring you all up to date. We finally got our engineers report and mod plate  so the little rolla is all legal and running great .Had it on the dyno yesterday and made 105-6 rwhp at 5500rpm so there is still more to come ran up to 120mph 6000 revs in 5th gear on the dyno not to bad  although i don't think i would like to try it on the open road 100mph was fast enough and a handful :o . Tomorrow its time for a good clean and polish and photo shoot so i will get Thomas to download some photos for you all as we know you all like pics and our engineers report as it s not a bad read so you can tell us what you all think. Now that it is going again we will try and get down to Melbourne to catch up with some of our Vic members especially STU Kickn5k so we can thank him in person for all his help and advise over the past few months  (Thanks heaps mate). kickn5k Posted June 10, 2013 Report Posted June 10, 2013 Yeah stu I should be there, as usual. I still think the other tuners sniffer has to be playing funny buggers!! Captain old school to the rescue! He knew even before he'd checked the plugs what it needed. I can't wait to see what it makes when you can really lean on the timing and drop a bit more fuel in. Oh and add around 1500rpm too, I reckon it should pull to 7,000!! Quote
