DR1FT Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 hey just wondering if anyone local in Adelaide had experience with locking diffs, would like to help a unemployed Rolla Club member and lock my diff for me? :rocknroll: Cheers Josh Quote

KE ping it real Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Why ?? It'd be nothing more then a down right pig on the road. !00% agree I have a locked diff in my donor car and it was the worst thing for turning corners Unless your building a super horspower drag machine i wouldn't bother Quote
Raven Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 It's for hektik street dorifto I bet! Get a welder and start welding the spider gears for that centrelink-funded drift machine :rocknroll: Quote

snot35 Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Where do you live? I don't want to be anywhere near you when you start driving that thing on the road in the wet. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 i know how to as i just got mine locked last weekend but I'm unexperienced to do it, take it to an engineers to get it done properly or if you no a lil bit just give it a try :y: :P :rocknroll: ....um, try a mechanic, machine shop, or welding business. Taking it to an engineer will be very costly and embaressing!! :jamie: Quote
Phonic Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Where do you live? I don't want to be anywhere near you when you start driving that thing on the road in the wet. Why? I've driven a mates locked KE70 in the wet many times, as long as you drive sensably there is nothing to worry about. It's not as if the car is going to unexpectattly swing out on you, a corolla still needs a fair bit of provocation to get anywhere near oversteer...lol Quote
coln72 Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 A locker isn't scary if you have set the rest of the car up to suit. Not that I would drive one on the road though. Quote
Robert Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Drive a KE70 with a locker every day to work, have done for years. Never crashed and never had any problems, i highly reccomend it. Quote
Mybowlcut Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Here is a stupid question... what the hell does it mean when you lock a diff? Quote
