Oh c'mon Matt....we need panelvan's there.......

Who needs tuning...it's a RWD rolla, so it shouldn't breakdown.

It's driving like a dog at the moment, I can't seem to get the idle & mixture right, clutch needs adjusting, brakes need adjusting or have a vacuum leak somewhere... etc etc :hmm:

Car Club/Motoring enthusiast,

The Third Classic Japanese Show and Shine is now open for entries. Last year saw 164 vehicles gather on the 14th October 2007, even after re-scheduling due to wet weather. with some very spectacular and well presented vehicles. Including micro cars, the oldest was 1961 to the youngest 2004. With interstate entrants as well.

For more than 50 years the Japanese automobile industry have designed and built motor vehicles that have graced our roads and had a huge effect on the Australian economy and our every day lifestyle.

The Japanese motor vehicles have also had a huge impact on the automobile industries of the world. The car of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and 90’s and even right up to the present day have been in the forefront of design, innovation and technology.

Queensland was the first state to ever hold a car display dedicated solely to these Classic Japanese Cars in 2006 and on the 5th October 2008 at the Bald Hills Flats at the Pine River Park at Strathpine (same location as 2006 and 2007) we will see the third Classic Japanese Show and Shine presented by the Z Car Club of Queensland Inc.

2008 will also have other clubs / groups on the organizing committee. QPDG, 7 of Clubs, Rising Sun.

Whilst entry is open to all Japanese motor vehicles, the attention is naturally being focused on, Classic Japanese cars bikes and all sorts of transport not seen on our roads in an everyday situation. Later models from 1990 to today are also welcome.

The Z Car Club of Queensland Inc.’s nominated Charity is Angel Flight Australia, which co-ordinate financially needy patients and their carers to fly free of charge to medical facilities anywhere in Australia. This charity will be the major beneficiary of the Show and Shine.

A large area at the Bald Hills Flats will be used for the static car display. Entry to the Pine River Park is at the intersection of Gympie Road and Kremzow Road UBD Map 109 Ref B2

All vehicles must be parked in the grounds by no later than 8.00am. And vehicles will be expected to stay until 2.30pm. Entrants will be available to enter the grounds from 7.00am. any vehicle needing to depart before 2.30pm must be escorted out. Trophy presentation will be at 1.00pm JUDGING will commence 10.00am

Entries will close last mail on the 5th OCTOBER 2008 and entrants will be notified by mail prior to the event, It will be possible to enter on the day, however, so as not to hold up the parking process, it would be preferable if entries were done prior to the day / date.

First 200 entrants this year will receive a commemorative cap and stubbie holder.

NOTE: ALSO SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE BY ORDER - MUST BE PAID FOR WITH ENTRANTS FEE ORDER EARLY AS THEY WILL BE GIVEN AT SHOW

CAR CLUBS/GROUPS are invited to enter as a group, AND SET UP A DISPLAY as there will be a special trophy for the best Club/Group If you wish to do this please enter early to be allocated a large enough site location CONCOURS car will be on display as well.

Its time to get your club or your family or friends together and bring out those beauties which hide beneath the covers out for the day.

Food and drink stalls will be on hand for entrants and public alike but please feel free to bring a picnic if you wish. It is hoped that this event will grow in coming years and more and more cars will be displayed. There will be Trade Stalls as well as other displays

Entry fee is $25.00 (JUDGED)

$20.00 (NORMAL ENTRY)

BIKES $10.00 entry fee
