Redwarf Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) Call me stupid, but aren't you the person who was going to prove us all wrong with the amount of Hp you were going to get out of a K motor? Now you want us to tell you how to do it as well? Dude, take it to a DECENT workshop, they'll do the calculations and get it right. Don't necessarily go with the cheapest option. Mine has virtually nothing taken off the current head, but with the pistons i'm running, it's 10.8:1. I had an old head that had .125 off it. The previous motor had i think about .090 off it and was 10ish to 1 (don't recall, it's been a while.) You've got to trust someone sometime, and most of them have been at it far longer than you. I have complete and utter faith in the person I use. He's a guru as far as I'm concerned. What you should be asking is, "hey guys, what machine shop in Adelaide do you recommend?"
