Is that 1grand for an whole exhaust with headers? Otherwise, HKS ones on yahoo japan were about 700, RS*R ones i can get someone to get from Japan for $500. OBX ones from US are US$180, but are shithouse stuff.

But could do with some cams down the track, 256 inlet, 264 exhaust is what i'm planning. As with those, i can run the standard ECU.

Aftermarket ECUs are soo much these days, could spend the $1799 to do the head!

how much for the flywheel and springs. PM me a price range so i can get an idea. Don't want too light of a flywheel, so around 4-6kg would be ideal.

And no pics of the FX yet, you'll just have to wait.

$1,000 is the headers and the freight to get them over here. And just discovered Trust still do manifolds for the TA22 with 2T-G. Damn I wish I had the money to build the car!!! I'll PM you in regards to the other stuff.

1700 for microtech lt10s computer to be installed and tuned from jsm whitch is pretty good

JSM don't have the best reputation though...

lol at jsm.

I havn't dealt with them as such(getting work done) but when I took my old ae82, they were "keen" as, didn't get back to me, I called them, said shit, what did you want done again, I told them, they were like ahh yeah, need to do the job card/quote up, few weeks later I called back, said they lost it again, called back 15mins later said they couldn't do it and if they could it was like a 4months wait.

All my dealings with Dave/Hi-tech have been the complete opposite, will be good to have a proper tune for up here lol.

Trolling through old topics on twincam, reading the old loony thread(my car) initial tune after motor was run in was 220hp at front wheels on 12psi, and yeah its now 270ish hp at fronts on 20hp(last dyno performed in brizzie/goldy)

I need a proper tune lol

Dave is the man.

As for your power figures, STFU!!! The GT-Four is probably only making about 270hp at the flywheel (maybe as high as 300hp). 220hp at the wheels would be great, but then again, if I'd got 300hp at the fly, it should be far off 220hp at the wheels. I needs money to buy some little upgrades. Like an ECU and GT28RS. Hopefully 250kW at the wheels would be achievable without many other mods. Assuming only the turbo & ECU and tuning were needed, I reckon a $7,000-8,000 budget would cover it. And with that sort of power, I might be able to make up for the huge weight difference between the GT-Four and the Levin to make a decent race. LOL.

How cool would it be to go pack hunting with:

GT-Four (me) - turbo AWD

Levin (Stephen) - turbo FWD

Corolla (Andrew) - turbo RWD

MR2 (Shane) - supercharged/twincharged MR

FX-GT (Daven) - hypo NA FWD

Toyota four cylinders representin' y'all? LOL. We seriously need to get our cars built (excluding bastard rich boy Stephen :y:).

unless you;ve had anywork done from jsm you carnt say weather there any good, they probably get 100's of phone calls from people like quintin saying what should i do, and how mutch will it cost ahahaha with no one actually showing up with the bling :y:

all the cars i know which have been built by jsm are bullet proof

take xxxline hasnt had a problem with the engine at all its on 500hp and 20tho+ks on the engine

i wouldent have any quarms getting a ecu install and tune done at jsm, really its not that difficult work really only max 5hours installing the lume then probably few hours on the dyno for a tune

Bah - be patient! Now you can focus on shitting yourself worrying if the car is going to be in as good a condition as it looked in the photos and hope that you haven't been ripped off. That's what I did when I bought the GT-Four, anyway. :P

Just a side note - noticed as I clicked on this thread to view it that it had 29,999 views. So me checking it was the 30,000th view! Yikes!

Going to check the car yards to see what they offer me for the black Corolla. Already been offered $7,500-8,000, but I'd like to push the price higher, as I think I can get $8,500, possibly closer to $9,000 (if I'm lucky). That will make it much easier to pay to get the GT-Four back on the road, and to Round Two of the khana series with any luck.
