Novalis Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Hey guy's, I was just wondering if there is anything I can do myself to my 4A MT Engine ? It's the FWD engine's for 1989 1.6L Twin Cam Corolla's and Nova's. Any Ideas or advice on how to keep under the hood clean and running at optimum performence, or anything else would be great. Quote
Novalis Posted January 5, 2005 Author Report Posted January 5, 2005 Oh by the way it's Carbi fed  Quote
Novalis Posted January 5, 2005 Author Report Posted January 5, 2005 Oh and also......it's a 16V 1.6L Twin Cam FWD 4A MT Carbi Fed Engine  Quote
lyonsy Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 new air cleaner really helps in performence and fuel econamy good oil and fresh also helps a lot keep it clean ie wash is once a month or so and your mechanic will thank you or you wont get as dirty working on it and replace parts that need to be replaced as for more performence a set of ractors and exhaust will help mabey a free flowing air clean (holley type one) any more then that and ull start using more fuel othrwise put a 4agze or a 20v motor in will help as well should just bolt in with a a same model front cut wire and everything will work with out mods mark Quote
demuire Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Or get a 4AFE, heaps cheaper and almost as good as a 4AGE. Quote
