I have a question, I have a 1.6l carb engine. Need more power but don't want to spend too much money. Could i get the engine pulled out and recond with new cam, webber and other stuff or put a twin cam in. Buget is about $2500

Awesome work man! Few little mods go a long way with these cars. Should be easy as to come by some rear twinky disks and a stocko strut top bar. Ae102 disks and calipers bolt right on too. As far as springs/struts go theres usually some around in forum classifieds. Great to see this car develop :rocknroll:

Oh and if you haven't yet, putting in fresh plugs and oil makes a great difference.

I changed the oil about 2 weeks ago. It was like thick black sludge :rocknroll:

Ran a bit smoother after that but i never really got to compare how it really went coz i've only driven the car about 4 times now. Took it for a long drive up to bonnie doon last weekend (about 2.5hours each way). Taking it for a long drive this sunday for the lilydale cruise up to Noogee. Should blow out some more cobwebs out of the carby :jamie:

Thanks for the advice on the disks.. :P
