corolln Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 hey guys I'm buying some lowering blocks and wonder weither to get the ones that are for sale on TRADE ME. NZ or just the one you get from autobarn?? anyone pls help :abuse: cheers Quote
Croc Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Just go to autobarn or similar as you can return them when they sell you the wrong size(it will happen). If you use trademe and get the wrong kit then any saving will be lost in postage. Info needed 1-Pin size 2-Size of block (how much you want to lower it) Depending on what you drive the bolt size may be different. Mine had 10mm bolts as standard and kits only come with 12mm. Des Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Lowering blocks are good for show thats it. Quote
goldke70 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 I've run blocks and see no problem with them at all. Ofcourse I wasn't hectically drifting my hilux.. :abuse: Sometimes you may need to keep you original leaf pack at stock... hence blocks are an easy way to drop the height and can be taken in and out very easily... For a daily I don think they are a problem, they wouldnt be ADR approved if they were.... As far a cost comparison goes there's a big difference... But if you do want to use this for track then get your leaf pack professionally reset, don't start flipping leafs yourself... Just my oppin :owned: Quote
