gday went to the swapmeet in broadford today and picked up 2 dirt cheap rims in very good condition but after they got a good clean i found this strange marking on the outer rim! does anyone know what it means??

i think gav means directional tyres... yes they should be put on the correct side, if you have only a pair of the same tyres both for the left side than you should get one of the tyres taken off and flipped around so its compatible because it would give you less grip on one side than the other which isnt the best unless you where drifting in one direction..

They are like celica or tarago rims.

 

AE86 ones are SIMILAR but have a different center cap etc and are slightly different.

 

Look in my for sale thread about same rims I have a complete set of AE86 rims and there are pics in there. Just cantfind same pic to post here that is all if you want a reference.
