Weber Running Rich

sup clan,

ive put a 5k into my car and the weber has been rejetted to the engine and its still running rich. so I'm guessing its because of how close the weber is to the engine bay. when the engine was in the last car it ran perfectly. has anyone ever had this problem before. how can i fix it. cheers

Most likely. The closeness to the inner guard and the fact that the filters are squished up, is probably restricting airflow into the carb and making it run richer than it would normally if it had more room.

Just take the filters off and go for a quick spin, see if that fixes the prob. :D

if that is the problem you maybe able to make a small box and put a pod or something where there is room for it. similar to what a factory 20v uses... kinda.

cheers guys, i didnt get the engine re jetted gavatron did but it was running sweet in his ke3x, ill give it a try without the socks and see how it goes.
