Complete F**k Up Of Electrics Need Help

i put a new horn button in the car today and decided to test all the lights etc.

 

flip down the indicator - the hazards come on, the instrument cluster and air con lights flash with them. this happens left and right

 

turn the hazards on - the instrument cluster and air con lights flash with them

 

turn headlights on - when trying to indicate either way the indicator freezes when lit up and wont flash, this is on highs and lows

 

when high beam is on - the blu light wont come on 2 let me kno the highs are on

Bad earth perhaps?

 

I'd check your battery connections first and go from there..

 

Kind of a tricky one to diagnose over the internet, You may end up having to pay an auto sparky to look at it for you..

have you looked at the horn button installation? chances are if it all worked sweet before you installed it, the problem may be an earthing issue with the horn.

yeah well i have only the slightest knowledge on electrics and this is way outta my league. will most likely end up payin a sparky here in town.

 

nuh cause i disconnected the horn after aswell and it was still doin the same shit. i had a wire hangin out the middle of the steerin wheel that i connected it with so i wasnt takin of stock wheel etc etc...

why did you change your horn button?

 

have you checked your high beam globe?

well i bought a sports steering wheel and didnt have a horn button so i got one off a mate.

 

high beam globe is fine, all brand new headlights, but they r not on car

 

no havent checked relays

 

for some wierd bloody reason all electrics r back to normal now!! WTF!!??
