gday

i was at the wreckers today finding a strut brace for my ae82 and while i was looking at it the suspension is alot stiffer and lower so I'm just wondering what would i need to do to fit twin cam struts to ae82 sohc???

You will need the hub assembly as the singlecam and twincam bolt holes are different.

Thanks for the info but i just realised that "4ages" has said that he is running his sohc hub!??? this is what he said ""In my SOHC I have the struts from a DOHC with super low King springs, the SOHC hub, the DOHC strut brace and just threw in some OZ tec bushes""

Nope that info is incorrect, I have already checked his car out and its not running twincam hubs or struts, It does however have 4 bolt tops and a twinky strut brace.

Is it easy? Its all relative my friend :cool: You can do anyhting given the right tools, parts, time and shed space. Tho why youd want to run SOHC gear in a DOHC apllication makes me wonder lol

He wants DOHC struts in his single cam, Here are a few reference pics for bolt sizing:

 

Struts, SC on left, TC on right.

In this pic you can see the size difference between the hub and the strut.
