irokin Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 direct bolt on from S14 200sx / GTiR GTiR isnt exactly a bolt on job...theres a fair bit of work to it. Try to get one already setup for an S13 :D Quote

irokin Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 no, still has a T25 flange. Both housings have to be clocked (rotated) and you need different oil lines. So its bolt up...but it takes a bit of work to get to that stage. Quote
irokin Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 sounds odd....the main reason people get GTiR turbos is because they have a larger exhaust housing = more top end. Quote
avalonea Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 nah same houseing nick o arse.  just had to clock both to fit  also a gtir t28 is ruffly rated about 320hp. alot more than the 280ish hp rateing of the t28 of s14/15's :D yes and better than the BB spool time is slightly affected , but you don't notice it  normal t28's are .64 a/r rears. the gtir is hte larger .86a/r helps tons up top my car hawld arse with a good power band on only 7psi with the gtir t28  anyho. some work does need to go into getting htem to fit * as nick o arse would member *  `josh Quote
PeanutBoi78 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Why not go CA18DET? I know they fit. My mate has one in his KE70 and one of his mates has 1 in a KE55. :moon: Quote
demuire Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 PeanutBoi78: Out of interest, where did you get your nick from? I'm guessing the "Boi" bit is cause you're a boy (as opposed to a girl), what about the "Peanut" and the "78"? Quote
PeanutBoi78 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Cos i own a 1978 KE55 Rolla (peanut) and yes I'm a boy :moon: Quote
demuire Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Ah right. That makes sense then. Â And why an SR20DET as opposed to a CA18DET? Cause an SR20DET is bigger. Quote
PeanutBoi78 Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 My mate has a Ke70 with a CA18DET,huge front mount and he's running a TO3 Turbo of a VL Commodore on it and is putting out 247.8KW at the rear wheels. But i suppose an SR20DET would be pretty F*%Kn quick in a KE55. :moon: Quote
Northen Rolla Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 CA18DET's are stronger!! SR20's are overated, good for big heavy things like S14's or S15's cuz of the torque but for something like yours i wouldn't bother. Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Cos i own a 1978 KE55 Rolla (peanut) and yes I'm a boy :moon: actually, ke20 is peanut, ke25/te27 is mango ke55 has no nickname that i know of Quote
Redwarf Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 I honestly don't know of a good use apart for boat anchorage that suits a CA18DET. I'll bring the blue paint. :moon: Quote
