oh what a nissan feeling! Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Does anyone know if the flex plate and stall converter are interchangeable between the toyoglide and the trimatic. I have a toyoglide and am about to put a tri in, but need to know if i have to source the tri's flex plate and stall converter first. Thanks for any help :hmm: Quote
sammo[RL] Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 No there not. Toyo's drive plate has 6 bolts conecting to the stall, and the Tri only has 3. And there also quite different in size. Quote

oh what a nissan feeling! Posted April 21, 2008 Author Report Posted April 21, 2008 Another quick one, auto info is real scarce, probably for good reason.... Are the tailshafts interchangeable between the 2 and 3 spd autos, thanks~matt Quote
sammo[RL] Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Nah mate there not, different lengths, and uni joints. They are really quite different boxes. Toyoglide was made by toyota for toyotas, but the Trimatic was made by Holden and adapted to fit a corolla. happy to help Quote
lowau Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Is the holden Trimatic that is in the KE70 strong? I have an auto KE70 and so far its held up pretty good, about 10 Neutral ---> Drive dumps, hahahaha Will be converting to a 4age +T50 in a few months but still, just interested. Sorry to hijack Quote
sammo[RL] Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I'm not too sure about the internals of the trimatics, but id say they would be close to the same strength, as the trimatics in geminis. Put it this way, stronger then a toyoglide, but not Indestructible. Quote
