Hey guys,

Dunno whether this happens to any one else, but occasionally my throttle becomes a mind of its own, when I flatten it to the floor, sometimes it will stay there and takes 1 or 2 hard quick taps to release it from being stuck, anyone else find this a problem? If so how do I go about fixing it? I tried searching found nothing.

Thanks all.

Thanks for the replys!, Checked the cable, cable is in great nick, needle and seat should be okay, just got the carby reconditioned a little over 3 months ago, but I did loose the spring that operates the accelerator plunger thing, but I replaced it with one I found, maybe thats the problem?

Dunno

Thanks guys

Had a 3k-b set up that did the same. We had cut and shut the carby linkages so the early twin links would fit later model carbies. Found out that a bit of weld spatter would stick open the carbies at anything over two thirds throttle. Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. 5k's are tough - handled a 8000rpm+ buzz with no issues.

Probally doesn't help you though.

be careful fitting extra retur springs as it will make the htrottle hard to mobulate if it is too stiff. I know this cause I had to run two on each carby to satisfy the scruitineers. To strong on the springs and you will have probs moving the pedal.
