simon Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 scored a 2001 townace diff center with a 4.500 ratio all measures up the same as te7x center just hope the splines are the same for the axles pretty good step up from the 3 3/4 thats in it now :( Quote
Jono Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 blowing diffs is a common fault in that model townace so i'm not sure they are that strong - obviously be a bit better in a lighter vehicle than a commercial vehicle. Quote
VHR32 Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 I thought those Townaces have an E series 7.1" diff or F 7.5"? Are you sure it will fit?! Quote
AE25 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) 2wd usually have the E series 4WD toyota vans like the townace, liteace and masterace have an F series in the rear and T series IFS in the front. and yes the front T series crown and pinion swap across to a te71 diff T series diff but the van center has the late model splines so can only use that if you got kouki ae86 axles or running in a 1986 rwd celica/carina. 4.3 4.55 and 4.77 can be found in the vans :S I thought those Townaces have an E series 7.1" diff or F 7.5"? Are you sure it will fit?! Edited May 15, 2008 by AE25 Quote
