Queen20v Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Sucks that you're baby's sick. One of my twenties did the exact same thing. You gotta love how predictable they are... And how easy to fix! It only took us half a day :y: Hope she's all better real soon. Quote
ashie Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 thats guys, it shouldn't be much longer although we moved her behind the gates yesterday which was a bit depressing, but will have to make sure her stay there isnt long. eli got the gem going first because it didnt cost much to do and we were desperate for 2 cars, so now thats done i have bambie (your old one queen20v) and the fixing begins this afternoon :D Quote
archangel62 Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Head's off.. Cleaned some of the damn carbon off of the pistons, erm, except I'm thinking this engine has been tinkered with. From "1", the piston crowns read 2, 4, 3, 2. Heh.. I can't see any cracks or major corrosion in the head that could warrant the leak, and although I couldn't see an obvious blow, I'm hoping it's just the head gasket. We'll probably get the head pressure tested before getting it faced etc, but the whole thing's under [glad] wraps (and WD40 haha) at the moment, waiting on money. Pics of the funtimes on the way. Also, interestingly, it seems some of the water galleries on the manifold side of the head are nonexistent in the block.. Yet both claim to be 3K. Is this normal? Quote
