homers_ke17 Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Oh sh*t, I'm in the same boat, ill give you guys the heads up on the ke15 rubbers from lilavadee in 3 weeks when i get the car back from paint. Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Hi, I got the rubber kit off ebay for my KE15 and fits like a finger up your bum. Tight, doesn't leak water, all clips there and fit, rubber not perished or cracking. ETC. Hardest part was gluing the boot rubber on. The original Toyota rubber clipped onto the boot. But I did find his kit very good in fact. But again I have not tried the windscreen rubbers yet just doors and boot. Cheers Cameron Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted October 31, 2009 Author Report Posted October 31, 2009 Ok the screen rubbers did fit, but the indent for the chrome strip wasn't quite right... so it is usable, but not good enough for my car. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Work just got a bead blaster... so spare 3k is getting Robo-washed, then into the bead blaster :jamie: Think I'll paint it all red?? This will be spares for the blue KE20, what colour do you all think I should go? Edited June 20, 2011 by 67Rolla-Ken Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 Started the bead blasting but the beads we've got are too fine. We'll be changing that soon, stay tuned :D Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) OK turns out the beads are fine, just needed changing :D It's all come up quite nice. I'm going to paint all the bits in clear, very happy with the bare colours :| Edited June 20, 2011 by 67Rolla-Ken Quote
Doogs Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Looks the goods mate, be great to see this all together in the car. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted December 3, 2009 Author Report Posted December 3, 2009 :D These parts were to be kept as spares, but I might put the thing together to go in the KE20. I'll change the welsh plugs and get a full rebuild kit for it... got no money to do it now. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted December 5, 2009 Author Report Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) OK spare 3k is all painted :P I'm happy with the clear. Edited June 20, 2011 by 67Rolla-Ken Quote

67Rolla-Ken Posted January 18, 2010 Author Report Posted January 18, 2010 67Rolla is currently at the trimmers getting a new hood lining made, carpets cut in and the door inserts fitted :y: Wiring is half done, new digital gearbox sender is sorted. New screen rubbers are on order from Clark Rubber. I have a quote for zinc plating all the hinges and the bonnet stand for $80, will do that next week or the week after. Hope to have the car semi complete in a couple of weeks. I say semi because it has to go back to the paint shop for a few touch-ups and I still need front parker surrounds, a dash pad, new seatbelts and I'm not happy with the aftermarket side indicators (want original KE10-11 ones!). If anyone can help with these items let me know. Mob:0424 517 735 Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted January 20, 2010 Author Report Posted January 20, 2010 (edited) Updates!! Couldn't fit the door inserts cos I hadn't finished the door internals ;) but the rest is done and in. Very happy with the hood lining, looks perfect! I can't remember what covered the hood lining edge on the middle pillars?? Oh and here's what she looked like on the truck over to the trimmers Starting to look like a car again! ....now I gotta take the front quarters and doors off to get to the hinges :) Edited June 20, 2011 by 67Rolla-Ken Quote
