not the best idea, the amps will be hot pretty quick and you'll fry them. They need air to keep them cool and functioning properly

 

 

hmm didn't think of that! what do installists do when they put that cover and perspex over em???

there wouldn't be any air flow there. so maybe thats a myth?

as a rule there not a sealed enclosure for the amps and still allow air flow. Ill post up a pic of the set-up in my daily when i get home, nice and simple with no problems of overheating the amp

Yeh, I've decided to make the sub boxes smaller and make a door to the spare wheel :P

 

I'm sure this will have a negative effect on the bass, but at 2 x 500W RMS in the boot of a KE10, I don't think it will matter...

i had 2x250wrms and that was plenty!

 

my new sub is 1x 900wrms but i won't have an amp to power em that much!! probs about 800wrms. but thats in a bigger car!!

you little ke10 is gonna set off car alarms two streets away!! :P

Just sorting out the bits I need for the motor.

 

Sourced the lumpy cam, thanks Madrolla.

Solid lifters will cost $107.20 for 8 new.

Datsun A12 push rods, haven't got a price yet but I know someone who has heaps of Datto parts.

Will be useing my 3k rocker assy.

Trying to chase down a reduction starter and a bigger alternator.

 

Will a VL alternator fit on a 5K??

 

Will be getting the paint to finish off the interior in a week or two, then just got to put the rubbers, glass, interior, trim back in.

Also, all the senders for my new gauges have US threads and don't fit on the 5K :yak:

:yak: Only skill I have is pulling things apart and getting favour jobs from people to get it fixed. That and Googleing to find info on specific items...
