Medicine_Man Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 At the moment I am wanting to shape up the rollaclub FAQ a bit, If you know what upgrading to Sigma control arms in a KE70/AE71/AE86 does and want some credit for your knowledge on the FAQ then please post up what you know here.. fozz Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 i beleive u use gh sigma contol arms which give u about -5 degrees camber there is also another model of sigma arm u can use but that gives u -7 degrees camber but can be corrected with camber tops Quote
love ke70 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 oh this is awesome :hmm: you get stupidly long control arms that f@$k your camber, then get camber tops to correct the issue. why not just get camber tops to start with? Quote
nickyboy Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Taken from the AE86DC FAQ - gilly wrote this article... so if any of this is being used, shoutouts for Gilly! *Sigma lower control arms Sourced from the GH sigma with a pressed in ball joint. these arms give a 60mm total track increase and close to -5 degrees camber. The most obvious disadvantage ia the increased inner edge tyre wear but the straight line braking will also be comprimised due to less of the tyre being in contact with the road. Different suspension tuners are at odd weather or not these arms have a more negative or positive effect on the overall suspenion of the car. Some have argued that the camber is way beyond what is ideal for either a drift or track style car. To fit these arms the tie rod ends need to be changed with that of the one off an RA40 celica, this is so the correct toe setting can be reached. Also some off the end of the inner arm bush (from the steel tube down) needs to be ground down so it fits between the mounts on the cross-member. (Note for editors: any aditional work needed to install?) Cost depends on wrecker, but you should be able to get the parts you need for around the $100 mark. Quote
flat out Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 (edited) also remember if there going into a ke30 or 55, there lca's are longer than *E7* and 86 ones, i have the long sigmas in my car and its not as silly as you would think, also you put rediculas sized lca's in for more track and lock Edited January 28, 2008 by flat out Quote
corollaguy Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Gaday, I'm thinking of putting sigma Lca's on my Ke30 rally car to get a little camber. I'm just wanting to know what you have to do to instal them in a 30 and what you need. thanks. Quote
