WinKE55 Posted March 9, 2008 Author Report Posted March 9, 2008 Wow. Lucky no mirror glass got into your face or anything. Did it scare you like, make you shake when you got out of the car? I know I would be.. >.<! Quote
1JZ~lux Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 I actually got glass thrown all over my face. I was lucky that I had tight fitting sunnies on and didn't get any in my eyes, just 2 tinny nicks on my face and neck. The shock didn't hit me until I got to a mates place 15mins later, then I started shaking. When I rolled the Lux and when I hit the roo I started shaking straight away. I was lucky when I hit the roo as well as it was a blind corner with a car coming the other way. When I hit the roo the bonnet flew up with enough force to snap a windscreen whipper off and steam started pouring out of the radiator so I couldn't see anything. The worst is that not a single car stopped to help even as I pushed the Lux the rest of the way around the corner to where I could get it off the road. Quote
1JZ~lux Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Also one I forgot about, I was driving my dads '01 Lux, back in Nov '06 on Middle Rd at Browns Plains and was rammed from behind. The Lux was fully loaded with tools so it wasn't very quick at taking off and there was a lot of traffic on that road while it was 2 lanes. Where it reduces to 1 lane I had a 4x4 patrol or landcruiser sitting in my blind spot and not showing any signs of getting in front of me, so I sped up and merged in front of him. We sat in the traffic which was very slow as the other cars turned off various side streets until the last car in front of me turned off at a round-a-bout. As I came out of the round-a-bout I felt a big hit from behind (and heard) and looked in my rear view to see the 4x4 pushing me down the road. Te driver had the really cold stare too. I tried braking but I would have damaged my dads Lux to stop him. I then tried accelerating away from him till I got to 80KPH but he was still pushing me faster so I took the first opportunity to swing off the road. The left side was open and the oncoming traffic had only just come into sight, so I swung off into the dirt and stopped no problems. He was flicked to the other side of the road then pulled back across the road into the dirt on the left then took off. I got his plate number and had a witness give me her number and gave it all to the cops with a statement (taken in the cops note pad with no signature) and figured I'd get a call when my statement had been typed up but never heard another thing about it. Also for those that are interested the Lux only sustained a 2x8" scuff mark on the back of the tray. Steel FTW! He did hit me pretty hard too. Quote
WinKE55 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 Sounds like a wanker.. I would of gotten out with a bat or something man. Hate idiots like that.. I have to restrain myself from swearing :/ Quote
Kid-Ae Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 far out. worst crash ive been in is a side swipe on Canterbury Rd heading through Kilsyth, the guy swiped our VN in a Patrol, then he swerved wide, clipped a powerpole and went head on into a stationary mack truck. the mack had no damage, our commodore wasnt too bad, only took a small deflection. but when the patrol hit the mack it was crushed and i saw the guy die... needless to say i threw up right afterwards and had nightmares for about 3 months. Drivers need to learn not to be idiots. he probly swiped us at about 95-100kph near the intersection of canterbury and colchester rds. Quote
WinKE55 Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 Ah. Sorry you had to see that sight. I thought I was going to see the same thing when we had our crash. Though thanks to the safety rail, we are all in one piece. Quote

WinKE55 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 (edited) Yeah I hate seeing them die too. A fair few Corollas have had an accident on here. Sucks big time. Edited March 13, 2008 by WinKE55 Quote
1JZ~lux Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Sorry that you had to see that ROLLA'BOY. I wouldn't want to imagine what it would be like. I hope my 35 never dies but I live in Sydney and haven't had much luck with driving. I learned from my first few accidents and have slowed down now but it seams that everyone down here is out to get me. There are SOOOOO many down here who race up behind me then tailgate or pull out without looking. I used to enjoy driving but it's become frustrating and stressful. Quote
Palmy Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) after readin all these i know that mine don't really compare, but anyway i have only had 2 car accidents. i was drivin my dads 2002 hilux round the vineyard in the wet, was prob goin a bit to quick for a vineyard but i was young back then. went round a sharp corner of the block and hit a mud patch, car slid out and oversteered and went in about 2 rows. had scratches from front qaurter panels to rear door from wires and dent in left front qaurter panel and both front doors from posts and vines. sorry no pics i had a ba xt a yr back and was making the most of the wet weather at a local hoon favourite place with a few mates in their cars. neva been on a more slipperier surface in my life. as the tread filled with mud there was no controllin the car once i had in doin a donut, it slid out and the rear right side hit a mates holden vr and dented my qaurter panel and pulled the bottom part of my bumper right off. not a scratch on his car though!! sorry no pics also have a mate who had a vp wagon, he was doin bout 60 and was on his phone when a turn approached. he finally looked up, hit the skids and went straight off the road and hit a tree. he pushed the bonnet up, split the bumper up the middle, minced the grille, pushed the radiator back onto the engine and severely bent the support beam thing lol. he swapped his wreck and $1k for a vn calais with some dumbshit shearers and he got to keep his 18" mags and stereo. here is his wagon before the crash: (unfortunately no after) http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff30/ro...e3be6b28614.jpg Edited March 14, 2008 by Palmy Quote
WinKE55 Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 So many people have had a car accident on here. It's pretty wow to see. This isn't really a car crash I was in.. though I was at least driving at the time. Anyway. My half brother who was 7 or 8 at the time and I was around.. 14? We have this dune buggy. We went to Black Duck Valley for a weekend. For those who don't know what Black Duck Valley is, it's where there is fair few dirt tracks and 4x4 tracks area, camping ground and stuff. I was on some dirt track with my half brother sitting in beside me. I was flying around corners and doing pretty good around the track. Then this weird corner came up. I said out loud to my half brother "Far out I really don't like that corner!" Anyway.. on the next lap I did I was coming up to the same corner. I was turning left.. and noticed my front left wheel is flying through mid air in front of my car? I was like "Uh.. floating wheel?.." then we smashed over the track and onto some area away from the track. The wheel kept rolling and came to a stop, noticed that the whole front caliper was gone and a few shattered mounts. Plus my half brother wet his pants Hahaha. That's the closest car accident that I have been driving so far anyway. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 hehehe bet you never let him live that one down lol that sounds different. i had the same problem on a quad except i'd managed to smash the front right corner in when i misjudged a corner past a seriously rocky embankment and somehow still managed to steer the thing the 4km back. OPPY LOCK MUCH?? was full oppy lock to steer straight haha so fun, NOT! then went past the same corner on a dirtbike and nearly launched into orbit. my brother ended up smashing his bike to pieces on the same one about a month later LOL Quote

Redwarf Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 This is what we started with. Last round of the Queensland Rally Championship, Car 9 on the road. Had a couple of crappy stages, but starting to get back into it until Crest 80 3L(?). Crested flat in third to discover the corner was not what i was expecting. I then ran out of brakes, ran out of road and then shortly after, ran out of talent. Quote
