Do many people get caught having a welded diff from cops?

If you drive like a normal person and don't do any tight turns in front of them you will get away with it for a while.

Drive like a dick and they will arse rap you.

ive got a diff i can sell you if you want an open one :hmm:

its bigger than a standard one and has larger brakes.

ive seen lockers driven on the street, and i woudlnt do it, in the wet they are lethal

hahaha true. is it one point and some couple hundreds of dollars fine or couple points and etc

Defect is 1 point and $75 i think but they wont stop at one if they find a locker. They can give you a notice to take the car to a Transport place so they can arse rape you some more.

Seriously buy a LSD, Like Love_ke70 said lockers can be dangerous in the wet.

don't go to bmcp or the spit and you should be fine, the cops wont look twice if you not doing the wrong things on the road

welded diff is great on track with higher speeds and big turns,

not so great for everyday slow tight turns.

the main thing is its legal on track and illegal on road, so should you

crash into someone or be involved in an accident you wont be covered,

even if you are fully insured. so if someone gets crippled or you smash someones

porsche its jail for you. or be paying off someones m3 for the rest of your youth...

i mean just weigh that up.

if you had a jap spec banjo front loader diff it could be easily and cheaply swapped

at the track if you went racing for the day, you can use a shorter/taller gear ratio for

racing as a bonus.

you need to learn how to drive with a locker too, its very different from an open centre.

especially when racing or in the wet compared to using an open differential.

and pulling in and out of a lot of places with a welded locker is going to chirp the wheels,

the cops arent going to think ooooooh i wonder what that was? did you hear that noise constable?

i did so sergeant, i do believe thats the mating call of a rabid chimp stuck under that commodore at

yatala bp servo at approximately 2am... moving in...

Lol at commodore reference. Too many of them in bathurst have lockers.

Even in car parks you hear cars going through, the wheels are going insane.

Saw someone get done for having a locker too (P-Plater).

Moral of the story: It aint worth it!
