Tally Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Much better man, all I need is the metal bit under the grill LOL... So whats next? Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks queen20v, i fought that at court and got off so all good. and Tally, next is rego, then just daily drive duties spening a bit of money on her now and then, may install my NOS dash pad but i want to wait till it gets its te27 rebuild before i put it in. I guess ill just wait and see how long before it pisses me off. I wouldnt mind some new shoes for her though. the ones on here are a bit dodgy. Clearcoat is a bit crazed and lifting and it just looks bad. and the front right has had the clearcoat removed scratching the chrome in the process. But they look good when ur not up close. I may lower it a tad still. Cheers Jake Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 ITS BACK!!!!! Got rego today and i must say... Man ive missed driving this car. the next 12 months is going to be sweet! Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 hey all. might be racing this in the supersprint on the weekend. Conrod to start/finsh on mt panorama. So i changed the front shocks on it and cut 1 coil off the fronts it sits more level with the back now. I will be upgrading the suspension properly at some stage so i don't mind having cuts up front for now. Plus when the car is jacked up they don't pop out. they just don't sit in the spring seat firm. will get pictures but it doesnt look much different to how it was. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 Oh and i had it in sydney the day before the NSW rollaclub calander photoshoot. went out clubbing that night and came back out to find my car had a bent front bumper. someone has hit my car and not cared or left a note to say they hit it. Pisses me off. So i have removed the bumper to stop it scratching up my front apron any more than it already is. Will look for a good condition bumper when i can afford it. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted June 4, 2009 Author Report Posted June 4, 2009 Hey all. Been a long while of inactivity in this thread, Well updates, - Getting some new rims (got a mate picking them up tomorrow) some 13x8 Superlites - New rims mean stud pattern change needed, and bolt on flares NEEDED (not wanted) lol - Got a rwd intake manifold for a 4age for when i do the conversion - Polished half of my engine bay....i was bored...and it turned out sooo good. just need to wait for a dry day to finish it. Not much else has been happening with it, its been doing its job of daily driving withgout fail. Doesnt like the temperature conditions up here though. Might need to kit the carby (not getting much fuel when cold weather) Quote
Mickey H Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 I Failed at Steering. Posting from a mates account. See Picture Quote
Tally Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 :sob: What happened man? are you okay? very sad to see this happen to my favourite model corolla??? I'm guessing chassis damage... these crumple very easyly... Was overrated az man you put alot of work into it.... :sob: rebuild time!!! drag car styles lol full tube frame front end ill fix that hahah Cheers Tally Quote
Mickey H Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) Hey I'm Michael, Jakes mate. I'm not sure if he wants the full details of what happened on here, so yeh I'll let him tell it. Chassis is badly damaged, whole front is bent out of shape. The car still runs and drives though. Was pretty sad, It was a overrated ke25. (liquid on the ground is battery acid btw) Edited July 3, 2009 by Mickey H Quote
Tally Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) even more reason for drag car project lol can't let it go to waste... Edited July 3, 2009 by Tally Quote
Felix Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 (liquid on the ground is battery acid btw) Pour a heap of Bicarb soda mixed with water in there, and hose that shit out ASAP to deactivate the battery acid and minimise rusting. Then get it on a chassis straightener. Bit of a shame, I thought this thing was one of the best ke2x's I've seen on this forum. Superclean, period correct rims and not trying hard to look like something it isn't. Quote
Queen20v Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Ohhhhh no! So sad to see this baby crumpled like that. Must hurt everytime you think about it :sob: Quote
